II. The aim of the research work is to develop of a technology for producing adaptogenic and anti-hypoxic substances based on the biologically active compounds of Scutellaria comosa and Scutellaria adenostegia
III. The scientific novelties of the research work are as follows:
For the first time, optimal technological conditions for the rapid drying of the aerial parts of S. comosa and S. adenostegia and for the preparation of medicinal plant raw materials were developed.
The main technological factors affecting the extraction of flavonoids and polysaccharides from the aerial parts of S. comosa and S. adenostegia were identified, and the optimal conditions for the extraction process were substantiated.
Effective purification methods and optimal technological conditions for removing impurities from the extracts obtained from S. comosa and S. adenostegia were developed.
An optimal technology for obtaining a novel adaptogenic substance, “Adapten” based on flavonoids isolated from the aerial parts of S. comosa using the re-precipitation method was developed.
Based on the determination of the optimal drying conditions for aqueous and 40% ethanol extracts obtained from the aerial parts of S. adenostegia, industrial technologies were developed for producing the antihypertensive substance “Kokapresang” and the antihypoxic substance “Kokanormoks”.
High-performance liquid chromatography methods were developed for the quantitative determination of flavonoids in the “Adapten” and “Kokanormoks” substances using norvogonin-7-O-β-D-gluсopyranoside as the reference standard, and in the “Kokapresang” substance using isoscutellarin-7-O-β-D-glucopyranoside as the reference standard. In addition, standardization criteria for these substances were established.
IV. Implementation of the research results. Based on the scientific results obtained in the development of technologies for producing pharmaceutical substances from the research objects, the following practical outcomes have been implemented:
a patent from the Intellectual Property Center of the Republic of Uzbekistan was received for the method of obtaining the substance of adaptogenic activity (No. IAP 06277, 2020). Based on these results, the feasibility of developing a new substance with adaptogenic activity;
the antihypertensive substance under the working name “Kokapresang” was registered as a biologically active supplement under the name “Dry Extract of Scutellaria adenostegia”, and a technological instruction (TI 03535440-066:2025) was developed and approved by the Committee for Sanitary-Epidemiological Welfare and Public Health of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The research results made it possible to introduce into practice a natural antihypertensive substance based on local plant raw materials, offering a safer alternative to synthetic medicinal products.
